Carnitine Extra is a high-concentration carnitine supplement recommended for endurance and ultra-endurance sports. The product is enhanced with vitamin B12 and zinc. Carnitine plays an important physiological role as a fatty acid carrier in energy metabolism. At the biochemical level, carnitine promotes the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are oxidized to produce energy. In the cell, carnitine participates in a complex mechanism called carnitine acyl-CoA transferase: it maintains a balanced acetyl-CoA/CoA ratio and promotes the conversion of pyruvate and lactate into acetyl-CoA. In addition, carnitine has an indirect antioxidant effect on cells with a high metabolism, such as cardiac and muscle cells.
Instructions for use
It is recommended to take 1 tablet daily, preferably between meals or at least one hour before exercise.
