Carnitine Extra is a high-concentration carnitine dietary supplement recommended for endurance and ultra-endurance sports. The product is enhanced with vitamin B12 and zinc. Carnitine plays an important physiological role as a fatty acid transporter in energy metabolism. Biochemically, carnitine facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are oxidized for energy. In the cell, carnitine participates in a complex mechanism called carnitine acyl-CoA transferase: it maintains a balanced acetyl-CoA/CoA ratio and promotes the conversion of pyruvate and lactate to acetyl-CoA. Furthermore, carnitine has an indirect antioxidant effect on highly metabolic cells, such as cardiac and muscle cells.

Instructions for use

It is recommended to take 1 tablet daily, preferably between meals or at least one hour before exercise.
